Q. What is DINERO?

A. DINERO is a digital currency, based on Dash 12.2, that enables anonymous, instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. DINERO uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network. DINERO Core is the name of the open source software which enables the use of this currency.

Q. What makes DINERO unique?

A. In 2008 Satoshi Nakamoto proposed a revolutionary idea that if fully realised would have a profound effect on how commerce was conducted. Satoshi proposed that “A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.”

Satoshi’s vision is actualised in Bitcoin, the first and largest cryptocurrency as measured by market capitalisation today.

However, significant problems remain with cryptocurrencies that we intend to solve namely;

The lack of cryptocurrency adoption beyond “early adopters.” and too much greed in the system which effectively excludes charities and philanthropic organisations from the distribution of cryptocurrency funds.

Dinero is on a mission to build on top of Satoshi’s original concept and not only make a fully usable cryptocurrency but also to create interfaces and opportunities which ensure its use in daily life.

In addition to this we intend to do good for our communities along the way and to build and maintain a strong social charter where we will use a significant amount of our governance budget to help those people who are less fortunate than us.

Our mission is to enable our users to prosper financially by providing a reliable decentralised financial services solution that is easy for everybody to use. This mission by design doesn’t exclude anyone.

We believe that in a space that has in our view, “too much greed”, some genuine caring and compassion and human decency can go a long way to differentiate us.
